Agility Show Rules
1. Usual agility rules will apply unless stated otherwise.
2. All dogs are entered at their owners’ risk. Whilst every care will be taken, CAA will not accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury to persons, dogs or property.
3. The committee reserves the right to refuse entries.
4. In the event that the show is cancelled non-recoverable expenses will be deducted before returning entry fees.
5. The entry fee is for 3 runs per day. If fewer than 3 classes are entered, vouchers will be supplied which can be used in other parts of the Dog Section.
6. Entries are welcomed from handlers and/or dogs who have not competed before but all dogs must have received suitable training to participate in this event without causing danger to themselves or others. Any dog not suitably trained will be asked to leave the agility ring by the judge and no refund of entry fees will be given.
7. Any change of grade must be notified at least 10 days before the date of the show.
8. All entrants must be available to help for at least an hour per day.
9. A flat, close-fitting or webbing collar without any attachments (except the d-ring) can be worn. No choke chains, slip or half-slip collars.
10. Dogs must be 16 months of age or over to enter the show.
11. No person shall carry out punitive correction or harsh handling of a dog at any time within the boundaries of the Show.
12. Entrants are permitted to bring their non-competing dogs to the show.
13. Dogs deemed out of control will be asked to leave the venue.
14. A draw will be made for the running order and it is the competitors’ responsibility to be available for their classes.
15. Judges may run their own dogs for competition when they are not scheduled for judging.
16. No bitches in season allowed in the ring.
17. Dogs are to be kept on lead at all times except when working in the rings.
18. Please respect the venue and clean up after your dogs.
19. Dog Safety. Remedial action will be taken in the event of dogs left in vehicles being found in a distressed condition. Your dog is vulnerable and at risk if left in a vehicle in high temperatures and even on days considered as slightly warm. If your dog is found to be at risk, forcible entry to your vehicle may be necessary without liability for any damage caused.
